چکیده
Despite several technological improvements and achievements, wastewater treatment remains a serious issue internationally. Toxins in pose significant threat to human health if left untreated. Due macro-porous structure different surface functionalization, cellulose biomass-based hydrogel is the most traditional adsorbent for removing harmful ions from wastewater. Recently, introduction of new derived materials have demonstrated their competitiveness removal ions. Numerous exceptional qualities better define this promising material, including high mechanical strength, large area chemical inertness. This paper discusses development status, preparation modification methods composites created by various (graphene, fly ash, graphene oxide bentonite) which evaluates research existing challenges water treatment.

Methods that will remove conventional nutrient pollutants such as reactive phosphorus, even at extremely low concentrations, from wastewater effluents are a major need in the aquaculture industry. In this study, novel phosphate binding crosslinked poly(allylamine), PAA · HCl, polymeric hydrogel materials were developed, which efficiently bind phosphate anions in aquaculture wastewater effluents...
متن کاملMacromolecular Reorganization as a Basis for Converting Cellulosic Hydrogels into Sustainable Plastics
The development of lignocellulose-derived sustainable plastics is an important strategy for a greener future. Cellulosic hydrogels, which are readily generated from a cellulosic source (e.g., wood pulp), can be converted into high-strength plastics by hot-pressing. In this process, cellulose macromolecules are fluidized and reassembled, leading to significant change of bonding interactions and ...

This work reports on morphological features of hydrogels, which have been used for the ultimate removal and recovery of nutrient and toxic anions from wastewater effluents. The sorbent used was crosslinked polyamine (PAA$HCl) polymeric hydrogels. The surface topography and morphology of these hydrogels were characterized by tapping mode atomic force microscopy. The change of the gel surface in ...
